OMG! The Jonas Brothers are Coming to San Diego!!!

SWOON!

Like, oh my gawd!

Via Sign On San Diego:

The Jonas Brothers are returning to San Diego for a Sept. 25 concert at Cricket Wireless Amphithatre in Chula Vista. The show will be the first by the top teen-pop trio since a Sports Arena show here a few years ago. Tickets go on sale, beginning May 15.

No prices have ben announced yet, although it appears that members of the trio’s fan club, will get first crack at buying tickets. Starting May 11, fans will be able to access a “Camp Rock” themed premium iTouch and iPhone app, which will also be optimized for the iPad, to give them a head start in buying concert tickets starting on May 15.

The opening act for the JoBros’ tour will be Demi Lovato, who was also featured at their San Diego Sports Arena concert. Additional guests artists will be announced shortly. The tour begins July 27 in Dallas and concludes Oct. 16 in North Carolina.

The tour is being sponsored by OfficeMax and is timed to coincide with the release of the Disney Channel original movie, “Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam,” which — surprise! — just happens to co-star Nick, Kevin and Joe Jonas, along with Lovato.

Don’t worry guys… not going to this. But you are. I know it. Weirdo.

Blink 182 and Weezer Tonight!

Rock and Roll!

Rock and Roll!

Tonight is the night! Cricket Amphitheatre. San Diego. Weezer. Blink 182. Me.

Two of my favorite bands playing together in my own home town! I cannot tell you how excited I am for this! I bought my tickets the day they went on sale so they are pretty fucking badass. I will be able to smell Rivers Cuomo!

The Beatles: Rock Band

All you need is love!

All you need is love!

It’s 09.09.09! You know what that means… The Beatles! Yay! Newly remastered albums and, of course, Rock Band. I’m still deciding on the remastered album collection as it is a bit pricey, but I am definitely going to get The Beatles Rock Band. Right now I only have a Wii, so I’ll be getting that version. I’m actually going to get the Rock Band 2 bundle and just the disc of The Beatles Rock Band for the Wii. The Beatles bundle is a lot of money, and I don’t really care too much if my fake instruments look like their real instruments.

…And Stay Out!

I’m going to go ahead and follow up the last post that was about my favorite band with a post about some of the shittiest bands EVER. Namely Nickelback, Hinder, and Papa Roach. Yeah. All three of them. They suck. And guess what… they’re coming to San Diego. Tomorrow.

Don’t go to that show. DON’T. Here’s why:

Ouch. How about instead of that concert, you drive over to Phoenix, Arizona and check out The Mars Volta again! 😉

The Mars Volta

Best. Band. Ever.

Best. Band. Ever.

Today is the day! The Mars Volta is in San Diego tonight!

Fri, 09/04/2009 7:00PM
Venue: Soma
Location: San Diego, CA
Tickets: $35.00

In case you don’t know who they are, here’s their Wikipedia introduction:

The Mars Volta is an American Grammy Award-winning rock band from El Paso, Texas, formed in 2001 and currently based out of Mexico. Founded by guitarist Omar Rodríguez-López and vocalist Cedric Bixler-Zavala. The band incorporates various influences including progressive rock, experimental rock, punk rock, jazz fusion, funk and Latin/Salsa into their sound. They are known for their energetic and improvisational live shows, as well as their concept-based studio albums. In 2009, the band won a Grammy in the “Best Hard Rock Performance” category for the song “Wax Simulacra.” They were named rock music’s “Best Prog-Rock Band” of 2008 by Rolling Stone magazine.

Yeah. They rock. I have loved them ever since the Tremulant EP back in 2002. If you haven’t listened to them before, I would suggest buying De-Loused in the Comatorium first as it is their first, and best, full length album.
